Comments from "people in the know":

This is a fine collection of oil paintings of interesting and often unique minerals,
painted in a very accurate manner. The form, color and composition of the paintings
are of a very good quality, and I hope Rainer will continue to paint minerals on a regular basis
so that many more unique and valuable mineral specimens can be revealed through the medium of oil paint.

"I'm the proud owner of a few oil paintings from Rainer Jäckle.
They show some Namibian mineral specimens of extreme and superb beauty in unbelievable detail,
handpainted to the collectors' specifications and requirements.
The indescribable finesse, color and natural detail, pictured in these oil paintings,
can only be evened by the 'original' mineral specimen itself.
No fine southern African mineral collection is 'complete' without a few superb Rainer Jäckle paintings,
which adds the final touch of perfection and authenticity to any aesthetic mineral collection."

Connoisseur XL Collector of Nature's mineral masterpieces from the Namib Desert and bordering areas.

Realism is a term that springs to mind when viewing Rainer Jäckle's mineral and crystal paintings.
He paints in oil, and manages to capture all the minute details that are contained in his mineralogical subjects.
The color renditions, which are critical for portraying the minerals as true to life as possible,
could not be better reproduced.
The subjects are represented without any "artistic embellishment" - what you see is what you get.
Natural history artists who paint birds, plants, and animals as their subjects, are relatively common.
"Geo-artists" such as Rainer Jäckle are far less frequently encountered, making his work all the more important.

"Please accept my compliments on your work!
I also like to paint mineral specimens in oil, so I have a special appreciation for the hard work involved.
You have a nice touch, and your backgrounds are interestingly done."

Editor-in-Chief of Mineralogical Record, mineral artist and photographer of minerals.
